Things to do around THP, with the kids

As the weather is getting warmer and the summer school holidays on the horizon, we thought it would be a good idea to give you some things to do in and around west Melbourne. These are activities you can do to or from us at THP and will create family memories for years to come!

  1. Explore Queen Victoria Market

You know this one was coming. Of course, while you are buying and browsing some of your favourite hats you should take a break (or two) to have a look at some of the fresh produce, hot foods and other retailers that are at one of Melbourne’s most iconic and historical scenes.

  1. Picnic at Flagstaff Gardens

A short walk from our store, once you’ve grabbed some yummy food (or packed some from home – we know what some kids can be like), head over to the gardens to have some quality family time underneath the garden trees.

  1. Cat Café Melbourne

Yep, you read this correctly, there is a cat café in Melbourne. Head down queen street for a couple of blocks and you will arrive shortly at your destination (Google maps will be your best friend). This is one of those experiences that will create memories and stories for years to come! Whether you do this before your visit to us or after, let us know, show us some photos because we love to hear about your day!

  1. Bowling at Melbourne Central

This one is a bit further out, but it is a cult classic on the school holidays. If your children have little feet – don’t stress- there are plenty of trams, ubers and even e-scooters* that can get you from point a to b.

We hope this helped you to start thinking of some ideas over the summer break,
We will have more ideas over the next couple of weeks!
