Men's Trilby
The trilby was named in French-British writer George du Maurier's 1894 novel “Trilby" which was written about a group of artists living in Paris. The book was performed as a play in London, with the lead actress in the role of the character Trilby wearing a short-brimmed hat that had a sharp rear brim. The “trilby hat” became a popular style from there!
The short brim is a trilby's most defining feature, usually measuring an inch and a half or less. As this short brim offers minimal sun protection, trilbies are usually worn at the back of the head, known as "halo-style."
Available in a variety of materials, trilby hats often feature a centre indentation that also has pinches on either side. Take a peek at our selection below and find the best option for your unique look today!
