Returns & Exchanges Policy

The Hat Project will happily return/exchange any item you are not satisfied with in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of our Returns Policy as follows:

  • Any item returned must be unworn, unblemished and in its original condition of purchase.
  • The Hat Project is not obliged to accept any returned item with obvious signs of wear or damage.
  • If you are not satisfied with your order, refunds or exchanges may only be approved if returned within 30 days of initial purchase.
  • The return or exchange of any item purchased from an authorised retail outlet* is only possible at the same store of its original purchase.
  • All online purchases should be returned to our Head Office at the following address: 99 Victoria St, Melbourne VIC 3000.
  • Customers are responsible for shipping costs of returns unless the return is the result of item/shipping error on our part. Shipping and handling fees are not refundable under all other circumstances.
  • If you have received a faulty or incorrect item, The Hat Project will happily exchange the item and facilitate all associated shipping costs. We strongly advise that you notify us immediately if you receive a faulty or incorrect item. The 30-day return policy criteria still apply.
  • When returning an item, please ensure that it is packed safely and securely using its original packaging (or equivalent quality). The Hat Project cannot be held responsible for any damage caused during third-party shipping.
  • To expedite approval of your return, please ensure all above conditions are met. We are unable to offer refunds wherever policy conditions are breached.
  • All approved returns will be refunded via the original payment method used for purchase.
